We have talked to thousands of people about the plan to build the nations’ largest trash burning incinerator less than a mile away from schools and homes in Curtis Bay. We have heard stories of how people are directly impacted by the high levels of toxic air pollution – stories of suffering from cancer, asthma and heart disease are far too common. We believe that no one’s life should be cut short because of where you were born. We believe that clean air must be recognized as a human right.
